IBF flyweights. Darchinyan, to me, is as live an underdog as they come. A test of wills and determination here. Like the puppies chances and will take the plus money for a few beans.

i took him at a little over +200.....not a bag shot,as pacheco just keeps on getting it done...

but,he`s 33....and has had some close calls...

from i`ve been told, darchinyan is a strong guy at this weight...pacheco`s more well rounded....but,i`ve been told that darchinyan`s a strong, tough guy...

the thing that concerns me is that jeff fenech`s boys have had some trouble getting over the hump in title bouts lately....

not one i`d recommend to anybody.....but,at 2-1,a decent shot,imo....

after a good weekend, why not...maybe the luck continues....i`m not holding my breath here,though...

Agree. Irene does get it done. He is in tough here I feel, so it ain't a gimme by any means. Thanx for the feedback.

any tv on this one? plus it is a shame that travisis' fight vs bojorquez and gonzalez vs telesco are not televised. 5dimes lists them on hbo but no way they are on. we get the lousy klitschko replay plus andre ward.

anyone know someone that will be getting tonights pacheco plus the two jones/tarver undercard fights that sells tapes? i would like to see all three of those.

why show ward against some stiff.....because of the gold medal?........who wants to see a non-competitive fight..when there`s an alternative.....if that`s what you want,catch a ricky hatton fight....lol

i`ve always hated watching these heralded amateurs getting spoon fed stiffs for the first few years of their pro careers...nothing bores me more...

Always that way with Olympians for about two years or so. I would rather see a club fight between to evenly matched fighters instead of the build up crap!

I attended this fight. Irene started out fast and strong going for the KO early for the first 4 rounds or so and then got winded. Pacheco began to control the pace of the fight after Irene began to fatigue. But when they both got a very long break due to the fireworks going off, Irene benefitted most. He was inspired by his corner and Michael Moorer, who was also showing his support in the audience. When the fighters began to fight again, it was all Irene and eventually he won after knocking Pacheco down twice and forcing his corner to stop the fight.

I do believe that had it not been for the long break in between rounds 8 and 9, Pacheco could have cruised to victory because Irene was not able to throw punches after becoming so tired early on.

It was a good fight though and I enjoyed the action. I did not even have to pay anything to watch this fight and I stood practically ringside. :banger:

Nice win, especially a dog win. My absolute favorite. Damn, I hate that we can't see a lot of these bouts. Glad you were on him too. Good job my brother!

I didnt see your post soon enough or i would have bet it too.
This weekend i take off i guess just some crazy dog parlays.
Whats up with Telesco ?
Gonzalez looked like he has a drug problem when he was fighting Erdei, he looked
horrible physically.

Irene and Pacheco are the same guy???
My bad. That goes to show how familiar I was with these two guys. I meant Darchinyan everywhere I typed "Irene" in my previous post. I was just trying to avoid spelling that last name. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.:103631605
